Speaking in Ilorin at a colloquium organised by the Movement for Genuine Change to mark Kwara State @50. Human Right Activist, Mr Femi Falana (SAN) advised the Acting President Prof Yem Osinbajo not to sign the 2017 Budget.
According to him, the Budget was illegally increased by the National Assembly, and as such should be scrutinized before signing. He said the National Assembly erred by increasing their own share of the Budget.
He also said that President Mohammad Buhari is no fit to sign the Appropriation Bill because he is on vacation, saying that all constitutional powers of the President, including signing of the 2017 Budget rests on the Acting President till his vacation is over.
