Earlier this morning, officials and players of the Osun State United FC were attacked by armed robbers on their way from Calabar, where they went to honour their Week 14 game in the Nigeria National League Competition .
According to a report by Punch Metro, the vehicle in which the team was travelling developed a fault few kilometers to Ondo town, and in the process of salvaging the issue, armed robbers came out from the bush and attacked them.
The Police PPRO in Ondo state, Femi Joseph, who confirmed that incident said that the attackers were not really armed robbers, that they could be hoodlums from nearby villages.
